Hunger of the Heart

Caring for a fallacy, walking on fire

drunk on pride, taken externally higher.

Heart of stone breaks my head

weakness of character, leaves things unsaid.

Intelligences can help us grow or pull us low

the worlds at play — our drama — an eternal show.

Veneers of vice, lost to the reality of life

basked in darkness, slaves of strife.

A garbage culture of decadence and consumption

glittering highway to hell,  a humble assumption.

Gluttons of greed as we plunder  Mother Earth

for successive generations we bequeath thee dearth.

Live & let live, universal love of all

why treat Gods creatures and creations with such gall.

Hunger of the belly won’t be satiated with meat

starvation of the heart, Shot Guns compassion to the backseat.
